YARDCHARTS.COM functions as an automated chart pattern recognition system. It greatly increases financial operators’ productivity by automating the process of searching for stocks and financial instruments whose charts fits a particular model pattern. The software powering the system performs daily scans Nasdaq and Nyse, analyzing approximately 8,000 stocks. The analytic run is performed automatically at the close of each market and takes just few seconds.
From these 8,000 stocks, those that fit one of our 8 model patterns are identified and their charts are displayed as Trading Alerts that user can easily see on the website.

The system scans for eight model patterns, four bullish and four bearish:
Bullish - 1) Bottom Right Triangle, 2) Bottom End Sweep, 3) Bottom Reversal, 4) Horizontal Support.
Bearish - 1) Top Right Triangle, 2) Top End Sweep, 3) Top Reversal, 4) Horizontal Resistance.

What distinguishes Yard from other Pattern Finder Systems is its accuracy. These patterns are conceptually simple, but are made up of many day bars, sometimes even hundreds of them. In order to have a system that must be able to flawlessly harness millions of different variations of the same concept into a single model has been quite a challenge. Yard Charts and its algorithms try to interpret the market as the human eye would, i.e make allowance for those subtle variations that lead up to the same conclusion, with the added benefit of implementing the rules in the most strict of manners.
The accuracy of the system allows the operator to benefit from market alerts that are early and have a high degree of likely success.
YardCharts could be very useful for investors and brokers alike, who can rely on daily alerts on stocks that display a hot technical conformation. It would be up to them to see which ones are worthy of investment or suggestion to clients.
YardCharts is a great tool for productivity improvement as it follows thousands of stocks for their technical worthiness, and has them at hand just at the appropriate moment, which is the day of entry, result of months of defined market activity. YardCharts does just that, straight to the essence of technical analysis.
The system is currently able to lodge additional markets upon request at very short notice, and still upon request is able to run on intraday intervals in a relatively short time.

Yard Charts is a software system defined as model pattern screener

The first requisite for its correct implementation is to recognize the validity of technical analysis as an additional and valuable tool for investing in stocks and commodities when applied according to widely used technical pattern configurations/concepts such as Triangles, Reversals, Trend lines, Supports, Resistances and so on.
The purpose of such a system is to enhance the technical analysts, or traders, productivity by means of automating the task of spotting those stocks that at a given time interval (week, day, hour, etc.) fit into the category of a model pattern.
This very same process if otherwise done by hand would employ extensive hours of many technical analysts time engaged at viewing thousands of charts on their chart monitors.

WARNING: In light of this fact Yard Charts should not be intended as a source of unlimited market tips, but instead as the result of an automated search process that relative to specific situations in great part performs the very same task that a technical investor would otherwise do by hand.

Yard Chart is essentially a technical analysts time saver if applied to the process of searching for opportunities, as intended by charts that fit the model of a widely recognized specific pattern. Before starting read the General Introduction , the Educational and the Terms and Conditions.
